The conference officially opens with a welcome from NALTO's President, followed by a thought-provoking keynote. This session explores how personal and organizational identity directly influences job satisfaction, client relationships, and long-term performance — and what that means for how we show up in our work every day.

This session dives into the strategies firms are using to differentiate their value proposition, build loyalty, and reduce employee churn — from onboarding experience to communication cadence to long-term relationship management.

TRACK C: Risk Management — How to Avoid Litigation – Karen Hayes, Chief Risk Officer - Hayes Locums

Contracts, malpractice coverage, scope-of-practice disputes — the legal landscape for locum tenens firms is complex and ever-evolving. This session offers practical guidance on identifying and mitigating your greatest areas of legal exposure, with real-world case examples and best practices from risk management professionals.

TRACK D: Credentialing Best Practices – Lynn Mitchell, VP of Operations – Vista Staffing

Credentialing failures remain one of the most significant sources of legal exposure for locum tenens organizations and the facilities they serve. This roundtable will examine credentialing standards and common gaps in the verification process, the importance of primary source verification, and strategies for ensuring compliance across diverse placement settings. Participants will share real-world challenges and practical approaches to building credentialing frameworks that protect patients, providers, and organizations alike.
